We are currently looking for a freelance "OpenStack Cinder & Manila Developer (m/w/d)" for our client in the IT-sector.

Project Description:
1. OpenStack Cinder & Manila Development
- Look for direct development experience in OpenStack Cinder & Manila (forks, upstream contributions, bug fixes, feature enhancements).

2. Upstream Contributions
- Evidence of commits, patches, or code reviews in OpenStack repositories (GitHub, Gerrit).
- Candidates should ideally have a track record of contributing to open-source projects, especially OpenStack-related tools/services.

3. Python Proficiency
- Strong Python background (3+ years) with design patterns, async I/O, packaging.
- Check for hands-on coding in distributed systems or cloud-native environments, not just scripting.

4. Kubernetes & Helm
- Experience deploying services to Kubernetes.
- Must have Helm chart authoring and CRD/operator development experience.
- Look for candidates who mention “Kubernetes operators,” “Helm charts,” “custom resources” in their projects.

5. CI/CD & DevOps
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.

6. Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of OpenStack internals (not just usage).
- Exposure to AWS or Azure is a plus, but OpenStack development is the priority.
